The Easy Android Installer is a tool that allows the user to quickly install a .apk file from computer to a connected android device. This tool has been designed to improve the process of installing .apk files from computer to a connected android device by making it more user friendly, time effective, and providing an alterative means of installing .apk files.
This tool allows you to:
- Set the build path that the .apk file is stored in
- Installs the .apk file with one button press to the connected device
- And even change the Light/Dark Mode of the application (Defaulted to Dark Mode)
Please note that this tool will expect that you have Android Studio installed as this comes with the ADB (Android Debug Bridge) which is required for this tool to work.
You can install it at: https://developer.android.com/studio
Make sure the install location of ADB is set as a system path variable - my tool will search for default locations of this path, but may not be able to find it if it is outside of these common default locations or not set as a system path variable.
You can set it as a system path variable manually by going to System Properties>Advanced>Environment Variables>System Variables>PATH>Edit and then pasting the installation location of ADB.exe into an empty new PATH variable.
You will also need to make sure that your phone is in developer mode. This generally involves tapping the build number of your phone 7 times, and then navigating to the developer settings and enabling USB Debugging.
How to use
This tool should be used in the following way:
- Make sure your android device is connected to your computer via a USB capable of carrying data. Note that it may prompt you to allow USB Debugging on your device. Select allow.
- Click on the file icon or copy-paste the build location where the .apk file is stored. Note it should be the file directory that the .apk file is in, not a full file path.
- Click on the Install button. This will install the .apk onto your device.
